Count It All Joy as Lusaka woman becomes first time mother at 59
Loveness Mukatasha Zulu of Lusaka, is the newest mother in town as she holds her first fruit at the age of 59 years. Mrs Zulu welcomed her baby boy a day after Zambia celebrated 60 years of independence. The cries of the newborn harmonized with the celebratory attracted the attention of Brig Gen (Dr) Levy Muchemwa, the Commandant Maina Soko Medical Centre.
As Brig Gen Dr Muchemwa got closer to the new born, the little bundle of joy fidgeted and tossed off what some witnesses said was a baby-sized military salute in a surprising show of young patriotism.n”Maybe that is the baby’s application to be enlisted in the Zambia Army once he becomes of age,” a hospital staff said to another as they happily swelled around it.
The hospital, Maina Soko Medical Centre took the celebrations on there official Facebook page narrating that the baby’s birth mirrored the nation’s Diamond Jubilee.
The page posted, Loveness, the mother reflecting on how God answered her prayers with the miracle of her baby.
Overflowing with acknowledgement, she thanked the staff at Maina Soko Medical Centre saying, “The care I’ve received here has been extraordinary. I am truly thankful for the kindness and professionalism shown to me during this miraculous journey.”
To honor the moment, Brig Gen (Dr) Levy Muchemwa, presented a hamper of assorted baby items
