Manhunt launched for Lusaka cop after K620,000 bank robbery!

Zambia Police have launched a manhunt for a paramilitary officer who robbed the bank he was guarding Zanaco’s Lusaka Civic Centre Branch. The suspect has been identified as Constable Emmanuel Tembo, 35, of the Zambia Protective Unit.

Armed with an AK47, Tembo allegedly stormed the bank’s bulk room just before closing, grabbed K622,483 and fled leaving staff and security officers stunned. Police have since opened a case of theft by public servant and launched a manhunt for the fugitive officer.
