Mikha’El Opens Up His Own Song Wandowa Landed Him In Court

In a recent interview on PMC’s Yatu Vibez, Copperbelt singer Mikha’El revealed that he was taken to court by fellow artist Wiz Bebe over his own hit song, “Wandowa.”

According to Mikha’El, the dispute centers on the ownership and usage rights of the popular track, with rapper Wiz Bebe claiming infringement.

The legal trouble began on March 6, 2026, when Mikha’El was summoned to court over “Wandowa” a song he wrote and produced before selling it to the Ndola-based rapper.

The complainant, Wiz Bebe, asked the court to restrain Mikha’El from using the song or taking credit for it. However, the judge dismissed the case and advised both parties to resolve the matter amicably.

“Wandowa” was first released on November 29, 2025, under Mikha’El’s own catalog. It was later sold to the rapper, who then released the song without crediting Mikha’El as a featured artist, effectively excluding him entirely.

The singer admitted that the court summons came as a shock, especially since “Wandowa” had been celebrated as one of his breakout hits.

He described the experience as surreal, noting that having to answer legally for a song bearing his own artistic signature has been both humbling and frustrating.

Now speaking openly for the first time, Mikha’El is clarifying his side of the story while urging fellow artists to prioritize clear contracts and mutual respect.
